Braving the Chill: North India Continues to Battle with Cold Wave in 2024:

North India finds itself immersed in the bone-chilling embrace of an unyielding cold wave across numerous parts of Punjab, East Madhya Pradesh, northwest Rajasthan, and West Uttar Pradesh.

Dense fog enveloped Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab on Tuesday leading frosty temperatures, impacting daily life across most parts of above said places, as reported by the Meteorological Department.

Visibility Ranges From 0 – 50 meters

Dense Fog

Visibility Ranges From 51 –200 meters

Moderate Fog

Visibility Ranges From 201 –500 meters

Shallow Fog

Visibility Ranges From 501 –10,00 meters

 Temperature readings were recorded below normal (-1.6 degrees Celsius to -3 degrees Celsius) in various places like West Bengal, Karnataka, Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Gangetic,

Weather forecast for next few days

There is a gradual rise of 2-3 degrees Celsius in minimum temperatures forecasts by The Meteorological Department, likely over Northwest India in the next four to five days.

Due to dense fog there were many place recorded zero meter or very less visibility in Uttar Pradesh West Madhya Pradesh and Delhi. It’s really challenging of navigating daily life for the residents of North India. From delayed train services to disrupted traffic, the cold wave's reach extends beyond its meteorological confines.
