UP constable recruitment exam begins today: 2385 centers constructed in 75 districts; Entry of candidate will be only after biometric verification.


Preparations have been finished for a written test in four shifts on Saturday and Sunday for direct recruitment to 60,244 Constable Civil Police positions. The state police have made clear plans to ensure the examination is conducted securely. Along with strict security measures at test centers, intelligence services, notably the STF, have been kept busy catching the cheating mafia and solver gangs. The exam is being administered at 2385 locations throughout all 75 districts.

DG Renuka Mishra, Chairperson of the UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, stated that static magistrates and police officers have been placed at each centre. Candidates will also be allowed to enter the examination center following biometric verification. At the district level, the DM will serve as supervisor (magistrate). He also established other administrative measures, such as the appointment of an examination center duty officer, a sector magistrate, and a static magistrate. Aside from that, an Additional District Magistrate has been designated as Assistant Nodal Officer (Administration), and a Sector Magistrate has been assigned to three test centers. Flying squads will also be prepared for cheat-free exams. To maintain the integrity of the examination, the DM appoints half of the workers at the centers, with the remainder nominated by the center administrator (Principal).

The test will be held in four shifts on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. using cutting-edge technology to prevent burglary, cheating, and other irregularities. Candidates will be checked, frisked, and screened using biometric finger print and facial recognition technology. If there is any uncertainty, the candidate's Aadhaar will be authenticated. Jammers will be put in all centers to inhibit electrical devices such as mobile phones and Bluetooth. Every step will be watched by CCTV, with a live feed received in the control rooms of the center, district, and recruiting board headquarters.

Candidates from these states will participate.


Let us inform you that 48, 17,441 people applied for the exam, with 15,48,969 of them being women. On Saturday, February 17, 12,04,360 candidates will take the test in both the first and second shifts at the centers; on Sunday, February 18, 12,04,361 candidates will take the first shift and 12,04,360 will take the second shift. Apart from Uttar Pradesh, more than 6 lakh applicants from other states have applied for the test. These include 2,67,305 applicants from Bihar, 74,769 from Haryana, 17,112 from Jharkhand, 98,400 from Madhya Pradesh, 42,259 from Delhi, 97,277 from Rajasthan, 14,627 from Uttarakhand, 5512 from West Bengal, 3151 from Maharashtra, and 3404 from Punjab.

Recruitment board issued a warning


The Recruitment Board has issued a warning that stern legal action would be taken if anybody is persuaded to pass the exam or attempts to swap money. If the application was obtained by unfair means, it will be revoked and a case will be brought. Such candidates will be barred from any future recruitments. The Board has urged the candidates not to spend their own and their families' money by falling prey to brokers.
