Rajya Sabha Election Elections were held today for the Rajya Sabha seat of Himachal Pradesh. Since morning, political temperature was high in the state regarding cross voting. Both Congress and BJP got 34-34 votes in the election and later they were selected by slip. Congress candidate Singhvi has accepted defeat. BJP candidate Harsh Mahajan has won in this election.
Chief Minister should resign: Jairam Thakur
On the other hand, opposition leader Jairam Thakur said that both the candidates have got equal number of votes in Rajya Sabha. The Chief Minister should resign. He said that we are right in saying that in view of this victory, Himachal Pradesh CM should resign from his post, within just one year the MLAs have abandoned him. State BJP has claimed that their candidate Harsh Mahajan has won the election.
BJP will bring no-confidence motion tomorrow
Let us tell you that tomorrow BJP will also present a no-confidence motion against Congress in the House. At the time of counting of votes, CM Sukhu also accused BJP of kidnapping Congress MLAs. Congress MLAs were staying in Panchkula. Now these MLAs are going to Shimla.
