According to various media sources, the corporation intends to employ Chennai production facilities. This automotive company left India in 2021. According to another media story, Ford has filed design patents for a sleek, modern midsize SUV to compete with popular models like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.

According to recent files, the business has copyrighted the design for its next Endeavor SUV, nicknamed 'Everest'. Ford is also said to be hiring for its Chennai facility. Ford has also obtained the trademark for the "Mustang Mach-E" in India. This has sparked speculation that it may produce an electric crossover to compete with other luxury electric vehicles such as the Mercedes EQE, BMW iX, and Audi Q8 e-tron.
First, there were preparations to sell the Chennai unit.
Previously, the American automaker intended to sell its Chennai operation and was allegedly in talks with JSW Group about it. But later it decided to postpone those plans indefinitely.
